Skipper Hannah's rowing career started in 2003 at Trentham Boat Club, Staffordshire. With an inherent focused passion for sport, rowing at University saw her take leadership as Captain of the Women's Squad for two years and then go on to a receive an exclusive British Rowing Scholarship in 2011. This scholarship in grass roots rowing coaching, alongside her studying for a Masters in Coaching Science provided strong foundations for her career. In 2014, not long after her return from the 2013 Atlantic Row, Hannah was appointed as Talent ID Coach for the GB Rowing Team’s Paralympic Programme, heading towards Rio 2016! 2013 saw Hannah start her first journey across the Atlantic and in 2016 she will finish it!
Harriet started rowing at university, in the same year as Hannah and Elle. Although Hannah joined as a senior and Harriet a novice, they got on exceptionally well. Harriet went on to study Marine Biology at Southampton University, engaging in different sports, seeking the determination, hard work and camaraderie that comes with it.After university she aimed to join the Royal Navy as an Officer, it was a long and challenging process and after not passing her final tests, she packed her bags and headed for Australia.She believes that everything happens for a reason and is so excited and happy to be rowing in Sedulous across the Atlantic, with an awesome buddy that has so much courage, grit and bravery it is unbelievable.
